GUSIF began on March 21, 1997 and is run completely by undergraduate students in all four undergraduate schools of the University. The goal of the Fund is to effectively manage these two accounts while providing an educational resource to Georgetown University undergraduates. The Georgetown University Student Investment Fund (GUSIF) is a professional money managing fund. The two clients of the Fund are Georgetown University and the Georgetown University Alumni Association. The Fund currently manages over $370,000 with an initial investment of $100,000 from Georgetown University in 1997, and an additional $100,000 from the Alumni Association in 2000. In 2007, GUSIF received an additional $50,000 for investments specifically focused on real estate.
